1950 Plymouth Coupe Build

Posted by Zac Wolfe on Jul 28th 2020

This is our custom built 1950 Cummins Powered Plymouth Coupe. We got this car on a trade last year and really didn't know what we were going to do with it. We had 2 ideas, low and fast or put some big tires under it and wheel it. One day Cory decided to roll a set of 41" Iroks up next to the car and that is all it took..... Those tires were going under it! A few weeks went by and nothing was really said...I just figured he put it on the back burner until a later time. Well I was wrong.. This car turned out great and definitely draws tons of attention. We have some offroad trips planned this fall and can not wait to see how it does!

Below I listed the build sheet:

Axles:

Front Dana 60 with a Detroit locker

Rear Dana 80 with a full spool

Suspension:

Custom 4 link

Big Shock Coil Overs

Currie Antiriock sway bar

Motor:

12 Valve Cummins

Drivetrain:

47RH Transmission

NP205 Twin Stick Transfercase

Adams Driveshafts

Wheel/Tires

Pro Comp Wheels

43" Mickey Thompson Baja Pro X

Custom Parts

Frame was completely custom built

4 Link Suspension

Body:

We basically left the body alone except for the floors. We had to build new floors to accommodate the drivetrain.

This car was a complete ground up build and everything was done right here at Hardcore Offroad. Check out our complete walk around on YouTube.  You will be able to see for yourself how talented Cory is.
